Getting into Star Wars: Unlimited in 2026

Five sets in, the game is bigger than its starter box suggests. Where to begin, what to buy, and what to skip.

Star Wars: Unlimited rewards exactly the thing most card games punish: showing up with the starter deck. The leader system means even a preconstructed list plays out differently every game, and the two-arena board keeps combat decisions interesting long after you know every card in your deck.

Start with a Spark of Rebellion starter, play it until you disagree with one of its choices, and only then buy singles. The worst thing you can do in this game is buy a display before you know which aspects you enjoy.
