Angel's Share
Angel's Share is a dry, clean economic game themed around Scottish single malt, and it won me over from the first few plays. For me, it belongs to that rare category of games that genuinely want five players at the table.

I had been looking forward to Angel's Share for ages, as a big fan of the “liquid gold” of Scottish distilleries — even if these days we are more in lemon territory. Thankfully, the theme is not just decoration: the idea of dealing with casks and single malt gives the table a very particular, pleasing atmosphere of economic business.
Each round, we visit a distillery and enter the process of buying and selling casks. Its core is dry and cleanly economic: you watch what has value, decide when to make your move, and try to get as much as possible out of your choices.
Interaction comes from everyone trying to influence both production and the single-malt “stock market.” So you are not simply playing with your own casks; other players’ moves alter the landscape and force you to keep calculating what is happening around the table.
Personally, I thought it was terrific. I have already played it twice, and it will definitely return to the table within the year. It also belongs to the rare category of games that, for me, are genuinely best with 5.
