Flip 7 is pure push-your-luck with a little take-that seasoning, and it makes no claim to be anything grander. Meet it on its own silly terms and it can become alarmingly hard to put down.

Flip 7 is a game in the most generous sense of the word: bare push-your-luck, a pinch of take-that, and just enough seasoning to keep you reaching for another round. It has no great depth to discuss in a serious voice. What it has is that small, ridiculous spark that gets the table playing one more game, then one more.
The core is simple. You draw, you hope, and you decide when to stop. Numbers arrive, but draw the same one twice —two 3s, for example— and the good feeling ends abruptly. Pro tip: do not take the hit. Obvious, but that is the whole game.

And it is not just you versus fortune. The take-that adds the necessary bite, the other players watch the disaster assemble itself, and every card drawn can bring laughter, panic, or that lovely moment when someone has pushed their luck far beyond sense.
If everyone buys into it, Flip 7 provides hours of laughs and little bursts of feeling. Very serious gamers may start longing for games where waiting for a move takes ten rounds; we, on the other hand, have played this thing to the point of mechanical failure. It is not important, but it is exactly the sort of nonsense that becomes dangerously addictive.
