Review
Pandoria
Pandoria is a cute, fast tile-placement game with a pleasantly tight economy. It did not deeply impress me, but it is a good time for as long as it lasts.

Pandoria gave me the feeling of a small, tidy game that comes to the table easily and does not ask for your whole evening. It is not a huge “wow,” but it has a clean, pleasant flow that makes it a good choice when I want something quick and light.
Its core is tile placement: I try to close off and score areas on the map. Those areas provide resources, so every placement matters not just for immediate scoring, but for what I will be able to do next.
I use those resources to build buildings, which bring victory points and abilities. That is where its nice balance lies: I can spend now to open up better options later, or chase more immediate points. Since the game is relatively short and tight, that decision does not remain theoretical for long.
In the end, Pandoria does not do anything that makes me leap out of my chair, but it neither tired me out nor made me overanalyse every move. It moves quickly, has enough little decisions to keep me engaged, and for what it is, it is a pleasant experience.
