Moon Colony Bloodbath
Moon Colony Bloodbath is a silly beer-and-pretzels game with blood, laughs, and a modest little engine ticking underneath. It never pretends to be more substantial than it is.

I was mentally buying it the moment I saw Bloodbath in the title: an instant blind buy in honour of those innumerable younger years, when judgement was weaker and shelf space seemed infinite. The theme is cheerfully daft, the game is light, and it has the exact feeling one wants on a Tuesday after work: nothing to prove, just a laugh when everything goes wrong.
There is a small engine-building feel at its core, enough to give your choices a bit of continuity rather than making the whole thing pure noise. The flow stays brisk and light on its feet, never burdening itself with ambitions it cannot carry.

Then comes the killing. Players do not politely tend their little engines beside one another; things die, plans are upended, and the pleasure is in watching a scheme go crooked without anyone needing a lengthy post-mortem about it.
It is not a bad game, nor is it a serious piece of work; it is an agreeable, bloody bit of nonsense with two or three interesting mechanical wrinkles. Find it second-hand for roughly half the usual asking price and it will have earned its place on your shelf.
