Twisty Tracks
Twisty Tracks is an honest, well-produced rail crossover for light tables and new train drivers. It looks simple at first glance, yet has enough brain-burn to avoid feeling empty.

I picked up Twisty Tracks for games with my successor and to gradually introduce him to the secrets of coal. It is a very pleasant crossover between Village Rails, which I love, and Tsuro, with lovely production and colours that make it immediately welcoming on the table.
Each player takes the same 12 tiles and builds their own railway network. The aim is to complete routes as effectively as possible, placing your pieces so that the tracks connect properly.
The idea is simple, but the choices involved in joining routes provide a respectable amount of brain-burn. Interaction mainly comes from everyone trying to build the best possible network with the same tools, so the game moves quickly and pleasantly without needing to become heavy.
I am not sure I would recommend it to heavy players looking for something much deeper. For light train-themed occasions, though, especially at a table with new train drivers, Twisty Tracks is an excellent choice.
