Xenon Profiteer
Xenon Profiteer is a cute little card game with mini engine-builder elements, and it knows not to outstay its welcome. It is not something I will remember for long, but it does the job for 30–40 pleasant minutes.

I picked it up after seeing the well-known Influencer (tm) fondling it in Arta, and in the end I got exactly what I expected: a cute little card game. It is not anything special, nor am I going to write home to announce it, but it did not bother me at all for as long as it lasted.
At its core, it is a card-based mini engine builder. Its main virtue is that it does not have time to wear out its idea: the short playtime saves it from starting to become boring.
Setup takes about five minutes and the explanation another five, so you get into the game without any fuss. Then, after 30–40 minutes, you have had a pleasant time and finished before the whole process starts to tire you out.
In theory, the expansion smooths it out even further. In practice, good luck finding it. Until then, the base game is a likeable, short option: nothing great, but perfectly fine for what it promises.
