Catapult Feud
Catapult Feud is exactly what it promises: safe, loud, and hilariously good fun for kids and adults alike. The serious mode can wait; this is all about a castle-smashing championship.

I’ll say it plainly: Catapult Feud is a game for laughing, shouting, and watching the kids absolutely love it. The “serious” mode with cards and rounds is there, but honestly, I don’t think that is what 95% of the people buying it are looking for. Even I, unable to sit on the floor and be properly competitive™ after my operation, had a brilliant time acting as coach and referee between Leo the Despoiler and his next victims.
Its core is simple, and it is simple in exactly the right way: you set up your castles and launch projectiles with catapults, trying to knock down the opposing fortification. The game lives in the aiming, the missed shots that land somewhere completely irrelevant, and the triumphant moment when a good shot actually does damage. It does not need to be weighed down with seriousness to work.
The interaction is immediate, because every shot is an attack on someone else’s castle, and every turn invites teasing, celebrations, and cries of “no, that doesn’t count.” If you use the rubber bands included in the box, keeping 1.5 metres between the castles matters: place them closer and you will probably be disappointed. And if you want more game, I would choose two or three base boxes over the expansions, where the design did not feel as successful to me — ballistas, lol.
The verdict? Superb fun, very safe, and ideal for trips, kids, dads, and any group that wants to stage a small siege championship. Arrange the next game: the tournament is starting and the stands are filling up. If the reputation of Aristotle University professors can survive it too, even better.
