Last Will
Last Will immediately wins you over with its playful premise that the road to victory runs through bankruptcy. It is a pleasant, light game with one very practical reason to hit the table: it works well with five players.

Last Will, a thematic continuation of Prodigal's Club and one of Vladimír's earlier works, has that wonderfully cheeky premise: you win by managing to go bankrupt. That alone gives it a distinct place on the table, without making it heavy or tiring.
At its core, it is a light worker-placement game. Placing workers provides its basic flow and has you choose how to use the available options, all in order to steer your estate in the right — meaning disastrous — direction.
At the same time, hand management ties into the worker placement and rounds out your decisions. These are not simply two mechanisms thrown alongside one another: they work together nicely here, while player interaction comes through the shared options and who gets to make use of them first.
Yes, there are dozens of games in a similar vein. Its big advantage, though, is that it plays well with five and has exactly the right length for the occasion. That was also why, after four or five years on my shelf, it finally made it to the table. And if it really can be found for a laughably low price now, it is even easier to give it a chance.
